" Losing a child is one of the most devastating events in someone's
life... A child death due to a medical equipment malfunction or faulty
application must be even worse!

We have witnessed a child's death as a consequence of strangulation and
asphyxia due to intravenous (IV) tubing! What is worse, not too
infrequently we untangle patients' limbs from IV tubing, and unwrap
little infants bodies out of IV tubing and monitor cables. It is just a
matter of time to see more cases!

What is also very troublesome, risky and labour intense to untangle the
"spaghetti" that the many IV lines turn into when we transport sick
patients between hospitals, to CT scans, back and for from operating
rooms, etc....

A device that can easy disconnect when an IV line is wrapped around a
limb, or a patient's body without pulling the needle/catheter from the
vein would be extremely useful and will save money and labour! Also, it
would help to untangle the spaghetti without risking interruption of
solutions for too long."
